Building prototype parts can prove a design and functionality.  However, if the prototype process does not solve manufacturability there are serious and potentially expensive issues left unanswered.    J&L bridges that gap with our Prototype Plus system.

Prototype Plus is a rapid injection molding system designed, fabricated, and run by J&L Plastic Molding.  It provides design engineers and product developers a low cost, quick way to test new injection molded parts, then seamlessly transition into production.  The result is a budget-friendly way to accelerate time-to-market. 

Prototype Plus offers an economical, rapid process for product developers to prove out designs and then have immediate production capacity.

Prototype Plus accommodates both up-and-down and side-action part designs.  Optimal savings are realized with designs requiring high-speed CNC machining and turning.  In addition, EDM technology may be utilized for intricate shapes and desired finishes.  

Prototype Plus is a proprietary process based on automating and standardizing the moldmaking and molding process. Typical lead time is days to weeks based on your design.   Prototype Plus will produce parts able to run on injection molding machines from 28-200 tons, with a shot size from 0.5 to 22 ounces.  Multi-cavity options are available.
